How many cases does my dog need?
Wondering how to set up your subscription? Here's a helpful starting point. Daily portions depend on your dog's size, activity level, and whether Bountiful Land™ is their full meal or a topper — but most companions fall into these ranges:
Small dogs (up to 20 lbs) ¼–½ carton per day. One case lasts about 2–3 weeks, so every 2–4 weeks works well for most small pups.
Medium dogs (21–50 lbs) ¾–1 carton per day. One case lasts about 1½–2 weeks. Many guardians start with 2 cases delivered every 4 weeks.
Large dogs (51–80 lbs) About 1–1½ cartons per day. One case lasts roughly 8–12 days, so 2–3 cases every 4–6 weeks is a popular setup.
Extra-large dogs (81+ lbs) About 1½–2 cartons per day. One case lasts around 6–8 days — 3 or more cases every 4–6 weeks tends to be the sweet spot.
Feeding as a topper? Each case will go even further, so consider stretching your delivery interval.
Not sure what to set up? We love helping with this. Drop us a line anytime at infurmation@virtuousvittles.com and we'll help you find your perfect match.

From first sniff to final lick, Bountiful Land is crafted for eager adoption — and many dogs can switch to it right away, especially those used to varied or novel foods. If your dog has a sensitive stomach or a history of digestive upsets, take it slower: extend the transition over 10–14 days, increasing the proportion of Virtuous Vittles by about 25 percent every three days until fully switched. A gradual change supports digestive comfort and a healthy microbiome. Always keep fresh water available at all times.
Calorie ranges based on WSAVA maintenance energy requirements for healthy, neutered adults in ideal body condition. Rounded to the nearest ¼-package for practicality; adjust by ±10% to keep your dog’s waistline visible and ribs palpable under a light fat cover. Assumes typical kibble energy density of 350 kcal per cup. Substitute equal calories of Bountiful Land™ for every cup of dry food you remove.
Nutritional InfoTransparent by design, verified by science
We believe nutrition should be as clear as it is complete. That’s why we’ve adopted the new AAFCO “Pet Nutrition Facts” format—a straightforward, human-style panel that lets you see exactly what your dog is eating.
Bountiful LandTM is also third-party tested for the full AAFCO nutrient panel, far beyond the minimum required for compliance. These comprehensive lab tests verify actual nutrient levels for vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and fatty acids, not just a few select (macro)nutrients.
As with our ingredient sourcing, we think our labels should be transparent and easy to understand. Our testing makes accuracy certain and every meal trustworthy.

"That is amazing. . .she's such a finicky eater. We've been looking for a plant based food she would eat because of her allergies and her vets recommendation. She normally just looks at the food and walks away and will come back to it later."

"Cassi was a fan! She was very curious + sniffing as I prepped the food + then went straight to eating. It took her longer to eat than normal kibble because morsels are less easy to inhale. . .which is a good thing :-)"

FAQ’s
Ask Us Anything
Answers to common questions about our 100% plant-based dog nutrition.
Is vegan dog food safe for long-term feeding?Yes—when properly formulated, vegan or plant-based dog food is safe and healthy for long-term feeding. Peer-reviewed studies show that dogs can thrive on nutritionally complete vegan diets when provided all essential nutrients. The key is precise formulation to meet AAFCO nutrient profiles with independent testing. Virtuous Vittles is developed with a board-certified veterinary nutritionist and is third-party tested to ensure complete, balanced nutrition.
Is a wet food diet better than kibble? In many cases, wet food is the healthier choice for dogs and cats, it’s closer to their natural diet, higher in moisture, and often made with fewer processed ingredients. The added hydration supports kidney and urinary health, especially for cats and older animals, and it’s gentle on digestion. Feeding only wet food offers the greatest nutritional and hydration benefits. But if a fully wet diet isn’t possible for your family, mixing it with kibble or using it as a topper still provides meaningful health advantages — improving moisture intake, flavor, and nutrient absorption compared to dry food alone. Virtuous Vittles wet food contains no preservatives, and every ingredient is selected for its nutritional value and natural goodness — so whether served alone or alongside kibble, it supports true, balanced health.
Does your food contain taurine for heart health?Yes. Taurine is essential for cats and conditionally essential for some dogs. It supports healthy heart, eye, and urinary function — yet it’s virtually absent from plants and severely reduced by heat in many animal-based foods. That’s why all high-quality diets include supplemental taurine. Virtuous Vittles uses pure, vegan, bioidentical taurine made through natural fermentation for optimal absorption, ensuring every recipe provides complete support for cardiovascular and overall wellness.
Is Virtuous Vittles complete and balanced with all the essential amino acids my dog or cat needs?Every Virtuous Vittles recipe meets or exceeds AAFCO nutrient profiles for its intended life stage. We formulate with a board-certified veterinary nutritionist to combine complementary plant proteins, creating a full spectrum of essential amino acids in ideal proportions. Each recipe is validated through third-party lab testing for nutrient accuracy and safety — so every meal delivers complete, balanced nourishment backed by science.

Is your food easy to digest for sensitive stomachs? Our formulas are designed for optimal digestibility. Plant-based proteins and fibers are paired with prebiotic-rich ingredients like pumpkin and beet pulp to support healthy gut bacteria and smooth digestion. The gentle, moisture-rich texture of wet food further eases absorption and helps maintain a balanced microbiome, making Virtuous Vittles an excellent option for animals with sensitive stomachs or food intolerances.
Is your food free from common allergens? Most dietary allergies in dogs stem from animal proteins such as chicken, beef, dairy, or eggs. By using only plant-based ingredients, Virtuous Vittles naturally avoids these common triggers while providing complete, balanced nutrition. Our recipes are free from animal products, artificial additives, and preservatives — offering a clean, hypoallergenic dog food alternative that supports skin, coat, and digestive health.
What does Good For Every Living Being on the Planet™ mean? Our core philosophy is simple: nutrition crafted to nourish your companions while reducing our impact on the planet. Plant-based proteins require far less land, water, and energy than animal proteins and generate dramatically fewer greenhouse gases. Feeding Virtuous Vittles can reduce a dog’s diet-related carbon footprint by up to 34 times compared to conventional canned food. Every recipe is 100% cruelty-free and made to nourish animals, people, and the planet in harmony.
How do I transition my dog to Virtuous Vittles?Virtuous Vittles is crafted to be irresistible from the very first sniff, so many dogs dive right in. If your dog is used to variety, you can often make the switch quickly. For dogs accustomed to one food or with more sensitive stomachs, we recommend a gradual 7–10 day transition: start with 25% Virtuous Vittles mixed into their current food, then increase to 50%, 75%, and finally 100%. This slow shift helps the digestive system and microbiome adjust comfortably.

Virtuous Vittles is crafted to be irresistible from the very first sniff, so many dogs dive right in.
